Triaminic, Theraflu being recalled after children accessed medicine
Web Producer: Mekita Rivas
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A popular cold medicine is being recalled -- more than two million units of Triaminic and Theraflu are being pulled back.
The companies who makes the cold and cough syrups said that the child resistant caps on their bottles are defective.
Reports say that four children managed to open the bottles and accidentally swallowed the medication.
The companies say that in some cases the caps don't work, even if the tamper proof plastic seal is still in place.
