Property valuations are mailed out in Pima County

TUCSON (AP) - The Pima County Assessor's Office has mailed out more than 400,000 property valuations.
Officials say a vast majority of property owners will no longer see a steady drop in their home's value.
They say the average home values are up 12 percent in the county's central business district over last year.
Other home value increases are 5 percent in the Avra Valley area, 4 percent in North Tucson Mountain Foothills and 3 percent in the Catalina Foothills.
The largest slide in home values is 4 percent in Ajo.
County officials say 13 of 22 residential economic districts saw home values hold steady at last year's levels.
The figures are derived largely from home sales in 2012.
The deadline for homeowners to appeal their property valuation is April 1.
