TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police have identified the man found dead in a home near Irvington and Kolb Wednesday.
Sgt. Maria Hawke with TPD tells KGUN9 that 26-year-old Kyle Riley was found dead by officers at a home in the 4800 block of south Lantana Place just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
Officers responded to the home after reports of a shooting. They encountered the homeowner who let them into the house where they found Riley with a gunshot wound.
Officers pronounced him dead at the scene.
Detectives responded and collected evidence but have not determined that the gun shot wound was the cause of death. Hawke says the Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
Police say they believe the shooting happened sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
