PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - A Prescott, Ariz., woman denies that she asked a Nevada man to kill her husband and helped him do it.

Charles Todd of Hendersonville pleaded not guilty Monday in the November smothering of David Wesley Mueller.

David Mueller was suffering from a degenerative neuromuscular disease and under the care of his wife, Cynthia Mueller.

A police affidavit says Todd said he and Cynthia were having an affair and that she asked him to hasten her husband's death. The affidavit also says Todd said Cynthia started smothering David and that he finished it.

The widow denies all of that but says her father formerly employed Todd and asked him to help with her husband's care.

According to The Daily Courier (http://bit.ly/11eni2W), Cynthia Mueller says she hopes Todd gets the death penalty.
