TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A car crashed into a pole Friday night, causing the road to close down and customers in the area to lose power.

Capt. Adam Goldberg with Northwest Fire tells KGUN9 that the car crashed on Camino de Oeste, south of Sweetwater.

Goldberg says there are live wires in the road, meaning Camino de Oeste had to close down.

He also said people living the boundary of Sweetwater on the North, Ironwood Hills on the south and Camino de Oeste on the east have lost power.

Goldberg says TEP crews will have some power restored within the next two hours but some customers could be without power until as late as Saturday morning.

No word yet on injuries to those traveling in the car.
