PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff's Department San Xavier District responded to a reported robbery at the Circle K store at 9810 South Nogales Highway around 3:06 a.m. on Jan. 13. The suspects were gone upon arrival of the deputies.

In a news release, Deputy Tom Peine said that detectives learned that two Hispanic males in their twenties came into the store earlier. Both subjects wore unique, matching jackets similar to those worn by a marching band.

The suspects approached the clerk at the checkout counter when one of them showed a handgun. The clerk was then ordered at gunpoint to get on the ground. The other suspect jumped over the counter and took money from the cash register and cigarettes from the display case. The suspect holding the handgun walked behind the counter while still pointing the gun at the clerk and took bottles of alcohol from the display shelf. Both suspects then fled.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who recognizes the two individuals or who has any other information on this case is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
