Arizona tax filing period begins Jan. 30

PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Department of Revenue says the filing period for state income tax returns for 2013 begins Jan. 30.
The department says the start of the state filing period coincides with the date when the federal Internal Revenue Service plans to open its filing portal for federal returns.
The starting point for the state income tax return is the taxpayer's federal adjusted gross income.
The deadline for filing tax returns is Monday, April 15.
