Search for missing Colo. woman hindered by little evidence

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK (KGUN9-TV) - Park officials plan to scale back the search effort for a 21-year-old woman who went missing along the Colorado River four days ago due to a lack of clues.
Authorities with the National Park Service are still searching for 21-year-old Kaitlin Anne Kenney of Englewood, Colo., but search teams have not found any additional clues as to her whereabouts.
Kenney was last seen Friday at a river camp located near Tapeats Creek on the northside of the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon National Park, according to Shannan Marcak with the National Park Service.
In the past two days, park rangers have searched the river corridor and area trails using the park's helicopter. Ground-based search and rescue teams have also been busy searching more accessible trails, beaches, drainages and back-country areas in the vicinity, Marcak said.
Since rangers haven't yet found additional clues to guide the search effort, park officials have decided to scale the search back to a continuous, but limited search operation. Rangers and pilots will continue to search for clues when in the area.
