TPD: Clerk arrested in gas station arson case

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - TPD detectives responded to assist with an investigation of a fire that occurred at the Circle K Store located at 3970 N. Flowing Wells on Dec. 29, 2012. The clerk, 27-year-old Granville Stinnette, was working at the time of the fire.
On the evening of Dec. 28, 2012, officers had responded to a bomb threat at the same store. In a news release, Sgt. Maria Hawke said that it has not yet been determined if the bomb threat and fire were related.
Investigators interviewed Stinnette during the initial investigation and ultimately the detectives developed probable cause to arrest him in relation to the arson incident. On Jan. 10, 2013, Stinnette was taken into custody.He was arrested and charged with one count of Arson of a Structure, a felony offense. He was transported and booked into the Pima County Jail.
