TUCSON (AP) - Pima County Superior Court has a new judge pro tempore.
Casey McGinley's appointment was announced Monday by the court's presiding judge, Sarah R. Simmons.
He currently works for the Pima County Attorney's Office and will start his new job early next month.
McGinley was one of three finalists for the position.
Simmons says she was amazed by "the overwhelming support" McGinley had from both prosecutors and defense attorneys and from other citizens.
