TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A deputy in Gold Canyon arrested two people after a bank robbery Monday morning in which a firearm was used.

Deputies responded to a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located at in the 6600 block of south Kings Ranch Road just after 9:30 a.m. Monday morning, according to Tim Gaffney with the Pinal County Sheriff's Department.

Gaffney tells KGUN9 that during the robbery, the robber fired a gun, but nobody was injured.

After asking for an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the scene in a white Ford Ranger, Gaffney said.

Shortly after deputies responded to the original 9-1-1 call, a patrol deputy located a possible suspect vehicle and pulled the vehicle over, according to Gaffney.

During the stop, the deputy arrested the two people inside the vehicle and they are believed to be tied to the robbery, Gaffney said.

Pinal County deputies will assist the FBI in the continued investigation of the bank robbery.
