South Tucson 18-year-old killed, police search for suspect

SOUTH TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - South Tucson Detectives are investigating the death of 18-year-old Jacob Michael Leon.
He was found dead from a gunshot wound to the chest by South Tucson officers around 2:45 p.m., Jan. 13. Officers had responded to a 9-1-1 call about a shooting at South 10th Avenue and West 29th Street.
In a news release, Lt. Jeff Inorio said South Tucson Detectives responded and interviewed witnesses. The investigation is ongoing.
The suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, late teens to early twenties, 5'05" tall, thin build, with a very slight mustache. The suspect was wearing a grey hoodie type sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The suspect was last seen running southbound through the neighborhood.
The suspect may live or frequent the South Tucson area.
