CORVALLIS, Ore. (KGUN9-TV) - After suffering its first defeat earlier this week at Oregon, fourth-ranked Arizona got back in the familiar win column by defeating Oregon State 80-70.
The Wildcats make it 23 wins in their last 28 meetings against the Beavers.
After a few rough games in PAC-12 play, the Wildcats looked much more like themselves. Four Cats were in double figures, as Solomon Hill and Mark Lyons each had 16 points to lead the team.
Brandon Ashley proved why he deserves to be back in the starting line-up after Sean Miller replaced him with Kevin Parrom against Oregon. Ashley finished with 12 points on 6-8 shooting and also had 7 rebounds.
Another impressive freshman was Grant Jerrett who had 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 blocks.
While moving the ball is critical to the Wildcats success, turnovers resurfaced as the Wildcats committed 16 on the night. However, they shot 47.5% from the field and limited the Beavers to 39.3%.
"Inevitably, if you're where you're supposed to be and you're good, it starts to go your way, and I thought tonight was a function of that," said Sean Miller after the game.
Arizona out-rebounded Oregon State 43-37.
"We still had a couple of plays where you scratch your head but winning on the road, we'll take it and we'll move on."
