TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Sierra Vista police arrest a woman for burglary and drug charges just days after she was arrested for similar charges.
Sierra Vista police responded to the Haymore Plaza at 400 East Fry Blvd on Wednesday, January 9 after someone called to report that a woman was attempting to open car doors, according to Cpl. Scott Borgstadt with the Sierra Vista Police Department.
Once on scene, officers used a description given by witnesses to identify the woman as 28-year-old Margaret Moran, Borgstadt said.
During the investigation, multiple witnesses told police they saw Moran lifting door handles to vehicles in the parking lot.
Borgstadt tells KGUN9 that while officers were interviewing Moran, they noticed she was holding a marijuana pipe in her hand that contained a usable amount of marijuana. She was also holding a small baggie containing a white powder residue consistent with methamphetamine, Borgstadt said.
Police arrested Moran and charged her with attempted vehicle burglary, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
According to Borgstadt, Moran was previously arrested on January 5 for burglary and multiple drug charges when Sierra Vista police responded to an alarm call and found her inside Discount Furniture located at 696 East Wilcox Drive.
