One dead in mobile home fire

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - What started as frantic calls to 9-1-1 reporting a mobile home fire this morning has now turned into an investigation.
Drexel Heights firefighters, with help from the Pascua Yaqui and Tohono O'Odham Fire Departments, began battling the blaze around 5:40 this morning, according to Tom Peine with Pima County Sheriff's Office.
"During the fire fighting efforts, they did locate a deceased person inside of the residence," Peine said. "At this point, we are not able to determine who it is."
Officials said a woman came up to the scene during the fire fight saying she was a resident of the now burnt home.
Investigators said they have not been able to find the other man who lived in the home with the woman. They are also unsure of how the fire started.
"We have the arson investigators here who know how to deal with fires and any evidence related to that, and then because there's a deceased person here, we have homicide here," Peine said.
Priscilla Robles lives behind the mobile home, and said she was able to see the flames for herself.
"My husband was up, getting ready to go to work," Robles recalls. "He went out the doors and all of a sudden, I heard him yell, and I ran out there and saw flames coming out of a trailer."
Fire agencies received multiple phone calls from worried neighbors this morning, but tonight, we still do not have answers as to how this fire started or who was found dead inside.
