TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A transformer in midtown may have malfunctioned Monday, causing residents in the area to lose power.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with TPD tells KGUN9 that the affected area was near Ft. Lowell and First Avenue.
He says several street lights also went out in the area.
Joseph Barrios with Tucson Electric Power says about 2,600 customers lost power. Crews were able to restore service at about 9:45 p.m.
