PHOENIX (AP) - Two suspects have been arrested in an attempted robbery in Phoenix that left a man and woman with gunshot wounds.
Phoenix police say 24-year-old Dwayne Phelps was taken into custody Thursday on suspicion of attempted armed robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They say 21-year-old Jasmine Shanead Greer is being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Police say a 32-year-old man was riding his bike April 18 when he saw someone trying to rob a woman.
The man was shot in the neck as he tried to help the 21-year-old woman, who suffered a minor gunshot wound during the attack.
Police say Greer offered to sell the woman a vehicle and made arrangements to meet the victim. Police also say Phelps is related to Greer.
