TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A motorcyclist was hit near Interstate 10 and Houghton Road Wednesday.
Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that the 61-year-old motorcycle rider hit a car from behind when the car was stopped for a turn.
Peine says alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
A helicopter was called in to airlift the rider who has life-threatening injuries.
KGUN9 has a crew heading to the scene and will update this story as more information becomes available.
