TFD responds to fire Thursday morning

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson firefighters battled a fire that broke out Thursday morning in the 1300 block of West St. Mary's Road.
Crews responded to the fire around 3:45 a.m. according to Capt. Barrett Baker with the Tucson Fire Department. The fire was under control within five minutes of arriving on the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The damages are estimated to cost $20,000.
The home was empty at the time of the fire and the two occupants of the home had not returned while TFD units were on scene. There were no injuries to firefighters and the Red Cross was not needed.
