SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Two women hiking near Canada Drive south of Sierra Vista Wednesday found a body in a wash.
Carol Capas with the Cochise County Sheriff's Office tells KGUN9 that deputies arrived in the area and found a group of rocks forming an arrow pointing toward the body.
When they continued walking, they located the body which appeared to have been in the area for some time and was significantly decomposed.
Capas says the body appears to be that of a man with brown work boots and dark jeans.
Evidence was collected at the scene and the remains were taken to the Medical Examiners office in Pima County for an autopsy to determine the identity and cause of death.
The Cochise County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
