Arizona Baseball ranked 18th in preseason poll

TUCSON (KGUN9)- The University of Arizona has been ranked No. 18 in Collegiate Baseball's Fabulous 40 NCAA Division I pre-season baseball poll. The University of Arkansas is at the top of the poll ranked No. 1.
The Wildcats, who are lead by Head Coach Andy Lopez, are the defending National Champions coming into the 2013 season, and despite a handful of talent returning to the squad, they did loose some players at key positions.
A big positive coming into this season, Lopez says there is a lot more depth on the mound. Konner Wade and James Farris are the early favorites as starters. Mathew Troupe is looking like he'll take the main closer role.
The team finished up fall practices in November and they will start their season at home against Coppin State on February 15th.
