Body found off I-10 last month identified

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The autopsy of a young man whose body was found off Interstate 10 in December shows that the man was killed.
Deputy Tom Peine with PCSD tells KGUN9 that around 7:45 a.m. on December 19, they received a call about a body from a construction crew.
Detectives responded and found the body of 25-year-old Rafael Cornelio-Alvarado with obvious signs of trauma.
The body was clothed and in plain sight. The autopsy shows that Cornelio-Alvarado had a gunshot wound in his head.
The investigation by the Sheriff's Department is still ongoing.
Anyone who may have information about this investigation is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
