TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A fire broke out Sunday night in the 1900 block of South Montezuma Avenue.

In a news release, TFD Captain Barrett Baker said the apartment building, consisting of four total apartments, was boarded up and appeared to be vacant when units arrived at the scene. No one was found in the apartment.

It took nine units and 23 firefighters fifteen minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries to firefighters and Red Cross was not needed.

TFD is still determining the origin, cause and damages.
