TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Sierra Vista Police arrested a 47-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man after finding 32 marijuana plants in a home.
Cpl. Scott Borgstadt with SVPD tells KGUN9 that Mary Brown had a medical marijuana card to grow marijuana legally, but had more plants in her home than she was allotted.
Officers responded to a domestic violence call at the home on West Martin Drive on December 7. Brown and another person in the home both had medical marijuana cards, meaning they could have 24 plants.
During a search warrant, officers found 32 plants.
Brown was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, production of marijuana and tampering with evidence.
Officers found the second suspect, Christopher Heisler, 29, on Thursday at a motel. He was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and production of marijuana.
