Christmas 'Stuff the Hummers' toy drive for needy children is Saturday

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The second annual "Stuff the Hummers" toy drive and car show takes place Saturday, December 15. The Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation and Team Up for Tucson are hosting the event.
Christina is the youngest of six victims of the January 8, 2011 shooting spree outside a Tucson grocery store. Her parents, Roxanna and John Green are carrying on the 9-year-old's legacy of giving are caring for others through the toy drive.
Last year, the Stuff the Hummers Toy Drive collected and donated more than 10,000 toys and 125 bicycles to the Salvation Army in memory of Christina-Taylor Green. This year her parents hope to raise that number in an effort to meet the growing need in Tucson.
The Stuff the Hummers Toy Drive and Car show runs from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Sullivan's Steakhouse at 1785 E. River Road. Tucson residents are invited to come and bring a toy or monetary contribution.
