Man wanted for domestic violence, weapons charges arrested in Louisiana

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A man wanted by Sierra Vista Police has been arrested in Louisiana.
Cpl. Scott Borgstadt tells KGUN that on October 27, officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 2200 block of Las Brisas Way.
A victim reported her boyfriend, 21-year-old Herman Hester, from Sierra Vista, was upset because she had gotten a ride home from a male friend. Hester attacked the victim striking her in the face and pushing her into a wall. Hester also damaged a television and window. Hester told the victim he was going to burn all of her clothes.
Hester fled the scene and officers were not able to locate him.
While officers were investigating, they found a pile of women's clothing on the floor of the residence and it appeared the clothes had been set on fire.
On October 28, the father of the victim took his grandchildren to an address on East Brown Drive, to meet with their father, Herman Hester. Hester and the father of the victim got into an argument over events from the previous day. Hester went into the residence and came out with a gun and fired several times in the direction of the father.
Investigators determined that one of the bullets did strike the vehicle the children were in at the time.
Hester again fled the scene prior to officers arrival.
Officers tried to locate Hester for several days but it appeared he had left the state.
A felony warrant was obtained and with assistance of the US Marshal's Service, Hester was located and arrested in Louisiana. Sierra Vista Police went to Louisiana to extradite Hester back to Sierra Vista.
For the events on October 27, Hester was charged with domestic violence Assault, domestic violence disorderly conduct, domestic violence criminal damage and arson.
For the events on October 28, Hester was charged with three counts of discharge of a firearm at a structure.
