TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Operation Deep Freeze will still be in effect tonight, December 11 since cold evening temperatures are expected.
Ashley Lueders tells KGUN9 that beginning at 3:00 pm, The Salvation Army will have its doors open to anyone needing shelter. Anyone needing a place to stay should go to The Salvation Army's Hospitality House, 1021 North 11th.
The Salvation Army will provide access to a warm shower, hot meal and transportation to overnight accommodations.
On average, Operation Deep Freeze houses close to 200 people a night at The Salvation Army's Hospitality House and overflow shelter, 1001 North Richey Blvd.
Donations of needed blankets, coats, gloves, scarfs and mufflers may be made at the Hospitality House or any Naughton's Plumbing, Heating & Cooling locations.
