PHOENIX (AP) - A man convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend in front of her 2-year-old daughter in a Tempe parking lot is scheduled to be sentenced.
KPHO-TV reports that Victor Martinez is slated to be sentenced Monday in a Phoenix court for the shooting death of Christina Hallman in January 2010.
Police say her toddler was left alone with her body overnight, until employees of the business where it happened outside showed up for work the next morning.
Authorities say Martinez had been dating Hallman about three months before the relationship soured.
