SEDONA, Ariz. (AP) - A section of Interstate 17 in northern Arizona south of Sedona was closed for hours after a tractor-trailer crashed through a guardrail.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the driver was able to get out of the big rig and escape injury in the accident about 3 p.m. Friday.
However, the front part of the cab on the big rig was hanging over a canyon. It took about three hours to clear the scene and the southbound lanes reopened by 6 p.m.
The crash scene was just north of State Route 179.
DPS officials say the cause of the accident isn't immediately clear.
