PHOENIX (AP) - A Scottsdale man has been arrested for allegedly smoking heroin and using prescription drugs while staying in the same room as his 7-year-old daughter.
Mesa police say 30-year-old Keith Baldwin is being held on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, endangerment and two outstanding warrants for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Arizona Republic says Baldwin had been staying at his parents' home with his daughter, with whom he has supervised-visitation rights every other weekend.
Baldwin's parents called police Sunday after they allegedly found a syringe and a burnt piece of aluminum foil in their granddaughter's bedroom.
Police say they found a jewelry box beneath a couch cushion that reportedly contained is heroin as well as 27 prescription pills.
