Police searching for stabbing suspect

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A search is underway for a suspect in a stabbing Tuesday night.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with Tucson Police tell KGUN9 that a man was stabbed near the Walgreens on Grant Road and Alvernon Way at about 7:45 p.m.
That man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are actively searching the area for the suspect, who is described as an African American male in his 20s. He is 5'9'' with a thin build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Widmer also said the suspect is possibly with a heavy-set white woman.
