TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Williams is our Volpe Team at Nova Home Loans High School Player of the Week after rushing for 143 yards in the Nighthawks 35-21 win over Marcos de Niza.
Ironwood Ridge will play Peoria Centennial on Saturday night in the division 2 title game Tempe. Kickoff is set for 7:07 and will be televised by Fox Sports Net.
The Nighthawks advance to the championship after losing in the semifinals the past two seasons. Williams joins running back Anthony Braunreiter, as well ast the offensive line, as previous winners of the award.
