AVONDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a man suspected of fatally shooting a woman west of Phoenix has been arrested in Nevada.
Avondale police say 41-year-old Michael Hall was taken into custody early Tuesday in the parking lot of a Las Vegas hotel.
The Arizona Republic reports that Hall remains in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police custody awaiting extradition to Arizona.
Avondale police say 28-year-old Donella Caluschee was found dead on the floor of a garage Monday morning.
They say the garage door was open and the woman had been shot in the head.
Authorities say Caluschee's 5-year-old daughter was found unharmed and sitting inside her mother's car.
A motive for the shooting remains unclear, but authorities say Hall is believed to be Caluschee's ex-boyfriend.
