TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies are looking for a man who is no stranger to handcuffs.
Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department told KGUN9 that Brandon Jon Rode has been arrested more than 40 times, and now there is another arrest warrant for him. He's been evading arrest since April.
"We're very concerned about it obviously he's putting some energy into evading arrest," Peine said. "It shows the criminal energy he puts behind everything."
Rode recently failed to appear in court for a domestic violence offense that took place in January. He is charged with assault and criminal damage in the case.
But that just scratches the surface -- since that warrant was issued, new victims have come forward. Peine said deputies are actively looking for Rode because there is a female victim concerned for her safety.
"There have been additional victims that we know he has been harassing," Peine said. "We simply have a sense of urgency that we want to prevent anything worse from happening."
Rode has been arrested for theft, criminal damage, trespass, drugs, shoplifting, aggravated assault and trafficking in stolen goods. The list goes on.
"There's no respect for the law," Peine said. "He lives with a complete disregard for rules of society."
Rode's last known address is a home on the northwest side. 9OYS visited that home today. The yard was littered with trash and it looked like it had been vacant for months.
The last tip deputies received reported a sighting at a nearby Platinum Fitness. That tip also led nowhere.
Peine said Rode is unpredictable and should not be approached.
If you have any information about Rode's whereabouts, deputies ask that you call 911 or 88-CRIME.
