PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say they're seeking a man for questioning in an apparent home invasion robbery that left a man so badly injured he later died.
Police say 67-year-old David Cardoza was found severely injured inside a home in central Phoenix on Oct. 11 and died Nov. 9. His 96-year-old mother was also inside the home but was unharmed.
Police say they found evidence showing Cardoza was the victim of a home invasion robbery. Several personal items were missing when officers arrived.
Sgt. Steve Martos said Thursday that detectives have identified 35-year-old Angel Padilla as a person of interest in the case. They're asking anyone who knows where Padilla is to call Phoenix police.
