Barber still ahead at end of Cochise County count

PHOENIX (AP) - Rep. Ron Barber is holding onto his slight lead in his 2nd Congressional District race against Republican Martha McSally even as all the ballots in GOP-heavy Cochise County have been counted.
Barber had a 709 vote lead as vote-counting resumed in Pima County early Thursday. The race remains too close to call.
Pima still has about 25,000 ballots that haven't been counted, but not all are from the 2nd District. They're mainly provisional ballots and not all will be certified.
McSally won 59 percent of the Cochise vote compared to 40 percent for Barber. But Barber is leading 52 percent to 48 percent for McSally in larger Pima County.
