SVPD seeks public's assistance to locate suspect

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Around midnight on Sunday, Nov. 11, officers responded to JR's Food and Spirits located at 4225 Avenida Cochise about a man with a gun call.
Security personnel from JR's said a male subject became belligerent and disorderly after being asked to leave the club. Later identified as Joshua Galka, the man tried to strike the security personnel twice.
Then a vehicle arrived outside of the club and picked Galka up. When Galka opened the door of the vehicle, he pulled out a sawed off shotgun and pointed it at the club's security and customers.
Galka got in the vehicle and drove off.
In a news release, Sierra Vista Police Department spokesperson Scott Borgstadt said based on a description of the vehicle, officers were able to locate it near El Camino Real and Coronado. When officers tried to stop the vehicle, it fled from officers. The vehicle drove to a nearby apartment complex and the driver ran from the vehicle. The passenger, Galka, was taken into custody.
Galka was charged with disorderly conduct, two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, two counts of misconduct Involving a weapon and possession of dangerous drugs. He was booked into the jail at the Cochise County Sheriff's office.
Further investigation has identified the driver as 23-year-old Arthur Gardner of Sierra Vista. There is probable cause to arrest Gardner and the Sierra Vista Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating Gardner.
