85-year-old Sun City man booked in wife's shooting

SUN CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Maricopa County sheriff's detectives have arrested an 85-year-old Sun City man on an attempted murder charge after they were called to a home and found his 81-year-old wife shot in the head.
Sheriff's spokesman officer Christopher Hegstrom says George Sanders is being held at the Fourth Avenue Jail.
Hegstrom says Virginia Sanders was taken to a hospital for treatment after Friday night's shooting. He did give her condition on Saturday.
No information was released on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
