KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in northwestern Arizona say a Kingman man is in custody for allegedly luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
Kingman police say 30-year-old Michael Gerad Keith was arrested Thursday afternoon at his workplace and has been booked into the Mohave County Jail.
The arrest came after Kingman Unified School District officials reported information to a school resource officer that had been brought to them by an eighth-grade student.
Investigators found Keith had "friended" several eighth-grade female students on Facebook and allegedly was grooming a 14-year-old girl.
Police say the texting began early last month. Investigators served a search warrant at Keith's home and seized computers, cell phones and electronic devices.
Police didn't immediately know Friday whether Keith has an attorney yet.
