Clown-masked bandit strikes Surprise eatery

SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say they are searching for a suspect who wore a clown mask during a robbery of a Surprise Carl's Jr.
Surprise Police Department say the clown-masked bandit struck the fast food eatery on Saturday after he approached staff members immediately and demanded money.
Police say the suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the area on foot.
Authorities say the suspect was wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants a white-faced clown mask with red and black "hair" and white gloves.
No arrests have been made.
