Arrests made in Oro Valley home invasion

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Four people were arrested Friday in connection with a home invasion in Oro Valley on Wednesday.

Lt. Kara Riley with OVPD tells KGUN9 that around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday night, the Oro Valley Police Department responded to the area of 11000 block of North Meadow Sage about a home invasion.

An elderly female was at home when a young man knocked on her door and asked to use her phone. When she opened the door, a total of three suspects entered her home and two of the suspects waved firearms.  

On Friday, officers conducted a traffic stop with the suspect vehicle from the home invasion and arrested three adults and one minor.

The driver was Wellington Curichimba Marin, 40. Police also believe he was the driver during the initial incident.

Jacqueline Michelle Carlson, 38, Anthony Kane White-Giordano,18, and a 13-year-old boy were also arrested.

Officers believe Marin knew the victim and planned the robbery to take her items. He drove everyone to the area and then lured the victim to answer the door by using the minor to knock on the door.

The victim was tied up, choked and held at gunpoint.

The adults were booked into jail on charges of armed robbery. aggravated assault, kidnapping and trafficking in stolen property.

The minor was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping and was booking into Pima County Juvenile Court.
