Inmate dies from apparent suicide

FLORENCE, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A 29-year-old inmate died while in Arizona Department of Corrections custody Monday from an apparent suicide.
Timothy Ben, sentenced out of Coconino County, was serving 20 years for second degree murder and unlawful use of means of transportation.
In a news release, Arizona Department of Corrections spokesperson Bill Lamoreaux said Ben returned to ADC custody on January 5, 2006 and was housed at ASPC-Eyman.
All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner's office.
