Two suspects booked into Pima County Jail after attempting to steal ATM

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - On Monday, the Oro Valley Police Department arrested two male suspects who attempted to steal an ATM located at a Chase Bank in the 11500 block of North Oracle Road.
The suspects ran from the patrol units -- however, the officers located both suspects and took them into custody without further incident. Both suspects were booked into the Pima County Jail.
Gerald Paul Cox was charged with theft over $25,000, criminal damage above $10,000, possession of burglary tools and theft of means of transportation.
LeVar Coryell Mariner was charged with conspiracy to commit theft over $25,000, conspiracy to commit criminal damage over $10,000 and possession of burglary tools.
OVPD was contacted by the Gilbert Police Department on Nov. 1 regarding several incidents of ATM machines being stolen from local banks in the Maricopa County area.
OVPD will continue to work with the Gilbert Police Department for possible additional charges on these suspects.
