SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - A teenager has been arrested in connection with two rape cases in Scottsdale last month.

Scottsdale police say the 16-year-old male was taken into custody late Friday afternoon. The juvenile's name hasn't been released yet.

The sexual assaults reportedly occurred Oct. 18 and Oct. 24.

On Thursday, police announced that forensic evidence had exonerated a man arrested previously in the case.

Authorities constructed DNA profiles that didn't match that 22-year-old man's DNA, which was submitted after he was taken into custody.

The suspect lived in the same apartment complex as one of the victims, but authorities say the two victims couldn't identify him as their attacker from a police lineup.
