Ariz. gives leeway to taxpayers affected by storm
Web Producer: Taylor Higgins
PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona is easing filing deadlines and providing other relief to taxpayers affected by Superstorm Sandy.
The state Department of Revenue says it's taking those steps in conjunction with federal tax relief provided by the Internal Revenue Service.
The department says it's acting under its authority under state law to extend due dates and to suspend penalty and interest that would accrue during federally declared disasters.
