Web Producer: Rikki Mitchell
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A power outage that started at 7 p.m. Friday and caused 4,000 customers to lose service was because of a rodent.
Joseph Barrios, a spokesman with Tucson Electric Power tells KGUN9 that he does not have exact boundaries, but that the outage affected customers on the east side.
He says a rodent got into some equipment at one of the substations.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Barrios said that 2,200 customers were still in the dark, but at 8 p.m. everyone has their service restored.
