TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A 59-year-old man called 911 Thursday after being separated from his hunting party and getting lost.
Officials with Customs and Border Protection tell KGUN9 that the group was hunting in the desert area west of Sasabe, Ariz.
The hunter, identified as R. Alvarez, provided his GPS coordinates to a deputy with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
PCSD contacted Customs and Border Protection to ask for help in finding the man.
Border Patrol agents on the ground and an Office of Air and Marine helicopter found Alvarez about half an hour after he called 911.
Alvarez was in good health and did not need medical attention.
