Single car accident sends one to hospital

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A 58-year-old woman was sent to the hospital in critical condition after her car struck a wall Thursday morning.
Lt. Kara Riley with the Oro Valley Police Department tells KGUN9 that the accident happened in the 11000 block of North La Canada Drive.
Brenda Pittman was the only person in the car at the time of the accident, and the investigation shows that she hit an unoccupied vehicle before traveling across north and south-bound lanes on La Canada.
The vehicle came to rest after hitting a wall at the Town of Oro Valley's government services entrance.
Pittman was taken to a hospital where she is listed in critical condition, but not from injuries sustained during the accident.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, and think Pittman may have suffered from some kind of medical condition.
