TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man robbed the U.S. Bank located inside the Safeway at 10380 East Broadway Blvd at approximately 12:45 p.m. Friday.

Sgt. Chris Widmer told KGUN9 that police arrived at the scene, but the suspect had already fled. There were no injuries.

The man walked into the bank, demanded an unknown amount of money from the teller and left on foot.

Although no weapons were seen, the man did imply he had a gun.

Widmer says the suspect is described as a six-foot Hispanic or Caucasian male in his late thirties, weighing about 170 lbs.

He was wearing a white long sleeve "Nautica" shirt, sunglasses and was topped with a black baseball cap.

Tucson Police Department is turning to the public for assistance in identifying the robber. If you have any information on the suspect call 911 or 88-CRIME.
