Baby javelina recovered on west side

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A motorist found a newborn javelina on the west side Wednesday, near Speedway Boulevard and Greasewood Road.
Mark Hart with the Arizona Game and Fish Department tells KGUN9 that the baby javelina still had its umbilical cord attached.
It was taken to the Tucson Wildlife Center, but Game and Fish does not recommend rescuing newborn wildlife.
They recommend moving the animal off the road and then contacting authorities because the mother was most likely nearby.
Wildlife taken from the wild are difficult to return.
